Soul Horizons is the manifestation of a desire to share spriritual inspiration and pay forward the love and generosity given
to me over my entire lifetime. It has been inspired by the men and women around me who have worked tirelessly to overcome
overwhelming obstacles in order to create happy home lives, families of choice, and a healing power that often seems to radiate
from them and envelope all those who are open to receiving it.
Many of the people sharing their stories on the pages of this site have been integral in helping me discover my path to wholeness
and well-being. While my journey continues, I've come to realizations that will forever affect me and my children.
While I've always had special angels in my life, it's been over the last three years as my children and I have faced a devastating
period fraught with loss, betrayal, pain, and fear, that I've come to recognize the significance of the many philosophies
driving our contributors' lives. For despite all the pain and transition, my children and I have also experienced the pure
love and generosity of friends, neighbors, and complete strangers.
What I've learned is that even when times appear their darkest, there is a spirit lurking inside humanity that while capable
of causing great pain and suffering can also heal and comfort. It is this healing and comfort that I hope to extend to our
readers just as the many wonderful people in my life have done for my children and me.
As you read the pages of Soul Horizons, you will see a deep sense of spirituality. Our writers are agnostic, Christian, Buddhist,
Catholic, Jewish, and Wiccan. We do not argue over religious beliefs because each of us knows the other is striving to live
the best life, causing the least harm, full of the greatest love.
So, if you have chosen an "alternative" belief system, know that Soul Horizons is all-inclusive. If the term "God" is difficult
for you to read, switch it with a word that is more suitable to your belief system. Then, keep reading for on these pages
you may also see reference to Wonkan Tonka, Creator, God/Goddess, Christ, Blessed Mother, or even Great Spirit.
In the spirit of togetherness and healing, I offer you the wisdom of my close friends, historical figures, spiritual dieties,
